SOCIETY: OR INFINITE REHEARSALS
Savvy Contemporary
Reinickendorfer Straße 17, 13347 Berlin
September 14, 2024 - November 1, 2024

With a focus on artistic practices that engage with movement and its many meanings, the project contemplates dance as a methodology and offers choreography as a metaphor for thinking through the reciprocal relationship between societies and their body/bodies. The works in this exhibition trace a variety of choreographies – oppressive, tedious, uplifting, desirable, useless, transgressive, inviting, to name a few – as well as the nodes of their intersections and encounters within the social fabric of our worlds.

With works by: Heba Y. Amin, Vikrant Bhise, Cana Bilir-Meier, Kasia Fudakowski, Daniel Greenfield-Campoverde, Hien Hoang, Monilola Olayemi Ilupeju, KMRU, Tuli Mekondjo, Thomias Radin, Sung Tieu and Theresa Weber. In the context of Berlin Art Week, 11-15 September, 2024.
